A Bit About Me
Hello, I'm Ashley Hillman, a lifelong artist and creator. From a young age, art has been a driving force in my life, and this passion led me to explore graphic design during high school. Through winning art competitions and taking advanced classes, I developed a strong foundation in the field.
Continuing my education at Georgia Southern University, I immersed myself in the study of graphic design. During this time, I had the opportunity to work for a local boutique, where I coordinated photoshoots, developed their e-commerce website, and rebranded their business with a new logo. This experience ignited my interest in branding and led me to join Whitfield Signs, a sign shop that also offered services in branding and car wraps.
After graduating, I sought to broaden my horizons and moved to Atlanta. It was here that I joined Mighty 8th Media, an agency that allowed me to expand my skill set beyond signage. I had the opportunity to develop full brands, create websites, design supporting signage, develop digital ads, and execute social media campaigns for various clients. Working closely with Pinnacle Bank, I played a significant role in creating their customer website and designing branch signage across Georgia.
COVID-19 offered me a chance to reflect on my career aspirations, and I realized my desire to be more selective in the types of businesses I help promote. Simultaneously, my love for the ocean drew me towards studying marine biology at Unity Environmental University. This online education allowed me to deepen my knowledge and pursue my passion for ocean life, with the goal of educating the public about the wonders of the natural world.
Currently, I am also working in Human Resources at Gwinnett County, where I have challenged myself to visually communicate complex information in a way that is accessible to everyone. I take great pride in being part of such an esteemed community, contributing to the legacy of Gwinnett County and its well-established brand.
I am excited to bring my diverse experience, passion for design, and dedication to exceptional work to new and exciting ventures. Let's collaborate to create something truly remarkable together.

Thai Skies
During my senior year at Georgia Southern, we were assigned to create an airline brand for a country of our choice. I chose Thailand. Upon research I learned about a deity called the Garuda that plays a huge role in the history of Thailand. I used his crown and wings as inspiration. I won two awards for this Gold & Judges Choice.

Pinnacle Bank's Yearly Financial Report.
This is an opportunity to really show off the success of the bank. The theme is about how Pinnacle Bank opens the door for communities. The cover has a raised ink called scodix. This added texture to it to make it feel like the wood grain of the door.
